Episode 8 – When Gurudrath Chose the Deep

By the time Parshivlok had settled into its rhythm, the planet no longer rushed. Its fires burned with restraint, its waters flowed with patience, and the land beneath held steady, as if it had finally learned how much weight it was meant to carry. Everything moved more slowly now, not because energy had faded, but because it had found its place.

It was in this quiet balance that Gurudrath arrived.

He stepped into Parshivlok without force or display, his presence calm and measured. There was respect in the way he stood, and recognition in the way his gaze moved across the land. He bowed to Yashasvita, who had shaped this world through intention rather than command, and he acknowledged Shevak and the others who now guided Parshivlok in its early becoming.

Yet within him, something did not settle.

Parshivlok had been formed with care. Its guardians had been chosen. Its path had already begun to unfold. And Gurudrath had not been asked.

He stood before Yashasvita for a long moment, allowing his thoughts to gather before speaking, as if weighing each word.

“I honour what you have created,” he said quietly. “But a world such as this carries long echoes. I wish to know what lies ahead—everything you have planned for it.”

Yashasvita listened, her presence calm and open, as it always was. When she spoke, her voice held neither refusal nor distance, only clarity.

“Parshivlok was not formed through discussion,” she said gently. “It was formed through alignment. You may help protect it, and help hold its balance, but you are not meant to guide its core.”

Her words were steady, never sharp.

Gurudrath understood them. Yet understanding did not bring him peace. He realised that while he had a place in Parshivlok, it was not the place he believed he deserved.

“I will remain here,” Gurudrath said after a pause, “but not where the light settles.”

He turned toward the deeper layers of the planet, where the land grew dense and the light softened into shadow. As he prepared to leave, his gaze fell upon the twelve tattvas that had emerged from Bhumiya. Among them was one that trembled slightly, its energy still forming, its strength not yet clear.

Gurudrath knelt and lifted the tattva into his hands.

“This one will come with me,” he said quietly. “I will raise it with patience.”

Yashasvita did not interrupt him. She watched, already aware of the path taking shape.

Gurudrath asked for a place beneath the land, a space within Parshivlok yet apart from its surface. And so he descended, carrying the tattva with him into the quieter layers of the world.

That region came to be known as Drataal—a realm beneath the land, where time moved slowly and strength was shaped away from sight.

From that moment onward, Parshivlok was held in two ways: from above, through balance and guidance, and from below, through watchfulness and restraint. The planet remained whole, but it had learned something new—that harmony could also grow from allowing different paths to exist within the same world.
